What Is a Netlabel?
A netlabel is an online record label that distributes its music primarily through digital audio formats (mainly mp3s). Although similar to traditional record labels in many respects, netlabels typically emphasize free distribution online, often under licenses that encourage works to be shared and artists usually retain copyright.
Our netlabel is historical as the world's very first netlabel devoted to children. We provide kids with music, audio books, stories, art and printable toys -- all for free.

On July 1st, the netlabel for children launched with its first release, SILLY SONGS. The release established the newly launched website with no fanfare as all the site is being built up around it at Kazoomzoom.com. Several other releases are waiting in the wings, and all readers are invited to participate in the project.
The 14 silly songs are performed by A Smile for Timbuctu, The Bran Flakes, Brody and the Booger Brigade, Dave Girtsman, The Kazoo Funk Orchestra, Lee and Sheep, Mister Jan and His Singing Little Spiders, Pastor McPurvis, Rufus Hofbagger, The Tryg Identity, Uncle Neptune and El Zoológico.

Imagine It Might Sound Like This!

Why is so much children's music limited to single guitar folk songs? Kids, just like the rest of us, are into all sorts of sounds.
This short mix features excerpts from music and stories that kids enjoy. The scope is wide, and we hope this netlabel will offer kids a full spectrum of musical styles and audio books. |
22 minutes of excerpts of fun sounds and stories (works best in Firefox, IE users play here) |
